Mera Peak

Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro

At 6,654 meters (almost 22,000 feet), Mera is Nepal’s highest trekking peak. Weave through the valleys that prop up Makalu, Everest, Lhotse, and countless other Himalayan Giants, while bearing witness to the simple, ancient culture of Sherpas, whose subsistence still relies heavily on yaks and dung fires. Acclimatization is extremely rewarding as you make your way toward the peak along dense flowerbeds that color the lower sides of these glorious mountains.

With great views to the south of Everest, Mera Peak dominates the watershed between the forested valleys of Hinku and Hongu Drangkas. This classic ridge climb is technically straightforward, with a final push for the summit from the Mera Glacier and up to the higher Western summit, and rewards with some of the most stunning views in Nepal, as well as an easy descent to Tangnag.
