Nepal Yoga Trek
Nepal Yoga Trek
No distractions. This remote valley trek locked deep in the heart of the Annapurna range offers a profound interaction with a variety of landscapes and cultures. The region’s stark isolation provides a quiet existence ideal for combining trekking and yoga. Throughout the journey you will be accompanied by a Nepali trekking guide and a certified yoga instructor as you visit Muktinah (Muktinath in Hindi), one of the world’s 24 Tantric places and one of the Hindu Vaishnavas’ eight most sacred shrines.
Each day you will trek between tiny Nepali and Tibetan villages as you follow an ancient route used by pilgrims. This trail traverses a valley surrounded by several of the world’s tallest mountains, from Dhaulagiri (6th tallest) and Manaslu (7th tallest) to Annapurna I (10th tallest).
From a yoga session in a studio in Kathmandu to ashtanga under the wide-open Nepali sky, we will experience a full practice with meditation and pranayama, at one point poised atop an exposed plateau at 12,000 feet above sea level – a true pinnacle point for devoted yogis and newcomers alike.
